Event Details

Come learn about the common causes and risk factors of low back pain, including mechanical, postural, and lifestyle factors.

Differentiate between different types of low back pain, such as musculoskeletal, nerve-related, or inflammatory. Learn how movement and posture influence the spine and contribute to low back pain and why prevention strategies to reduce recurrence of low back pain, such as posture correction, body mechanics, and ergonomics are important to consider. Recognize the role of different healthcare providers in the management of low back pain (e.g., physiotherapists, primary care physicians, pain specialists) and why it's essential to have a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, considering both physical and psychological aspects. Acknowledge the impact of psychosocial factors, such as stress, anxiety, and depression, on the development and persistence of low back pain.
