Monday, May 12, 2025: Accel5, one of our online resources provided by the Library of Virginia, is being upgraded to a new platform—EBSCOlearning Accel—on May 15. Please read through the information below to learn more about the upgrade.
What is EBSCOlearning Accel?
Accel is a microlearning solution that helps individuals build professional and workplace-ready skills through short, engaging videos, book summaries, and articles. Content comes from over 47 leading business thinkers—including members of the Thinkers50—and supports continuous learning and career growth in just minutes a day.

What's Changing May 15, 2025?
- Accel5 will be upgraded and renamed EBSCOLearning Accel. This isn’t just a name change—it’s a move to a more modern, personalized platform!
- The shared guest login will be retired. Users will no longer be able to log on using the guest logon and will instead need to create their own free accounts for a more secure and tailored experience.
- Existing Accel5 users will retain their saved content. Existing users will just need to reset their password the first time they log in.
- The old Accel5 access link will no longer work. It will be replaced (starting May 15) with a new link: https://accel.ebscolearning.com/register/fvtbhjGa
How to Access EBSCOlearning Accel Starting May 15
To access the new Accel experience, visit the registration link:
https://accel.ebscolearning.com/register/fvtbhjGa
This will take you to the account creation page, where you will follow one of two simple paths:
(1) If you previously had a personal Accel5 account:
- Click Already a Member? Sign In (located below the registration button)
- Enter your email address
- Click Forgot Password to reset and access their existing account
(2) If your previously used the guest login or are brand new:
- Fill out the form to create a personal account
- This allows personalized learning, saved bookmarks, and progress tracking
