Shrinking Your Lawn and Other Landscaping Tips to Manage Stormwater

Join Extension Master Gardener Amy Crumpton to learn how conservation landscaping techniques, appropriate plant selections, and local resources can assist you in managing the effects of stormwater on your property. She'll discuss specific tips and tools for reducing turfgrass in a manageable way and replacing it with more ecologically productive native trees, shrubs and/or groundcovers that will increase water absorption deeper into the soil.

Amy Crumpton is an Extension Master Gardener and Virginia Master Naturalist. A long-time resident of Falls Church, she is a volunteer leader with the City's Habitat Restoration Team and is Chair of the City's Urban Forestry Commission.
