Program Description

Event Details

This class will provide you with valuable insights into why people fall and how to avoid falling. Additionally, the class will delve into the topic of balance and how working on it will help prevent falls, regardless of your age. You don't need any prior experience as we will guide you through exercises that promote balance. Please wear comfortable shoes as we may have you get up and try an exercise or two.

About the Instructor

Dr. Bodensteiner is a graduate of George Washington University and is an orthopedic-certified specialist. Kirsten treats both orthopedic and neurologic conditions and has extensive experience working with Parkinson's patients. Kirsten has a certification in both LSVT BIG and PWR Moves! for Parkinson's Disease and has taught dance classes for those with PD and other conditions after training at the Mark Morris Dance Center in Brooklyn, NY. Kirsten also has an MA in Dance from American University and has worked as a dance critic and dance writer. In her spare time, Kirsten enjoys international travel, hiking, and paddleboarding, as well as spending time with her family including her three kids.
