Body Dynamics (located here in Falls Church) is presenting a free 4-part health information series in the library on Tuesday nights from 6 pm - 7 pm in the Upper Level Conference Room. MAY 9: Eat Well, Be Well
Join Eat Well, Be Well where we’ll review the foundation of a healthy diet that promotes strong immune function. We’ll also discuss ways to plan healthy meals that you can scale up or down for the occasion. You’ll get some tips and tricks that maximize efficiency while minimizing waste and time spent shopping and cooking. Start your summer off with a good meal plan!
Chip Coleman is a Nutritional Therapy Consultant and Polestar Pilates certified private and group fitness trainer. He received his Bachelor's in Biology from Dartmouth College and joined Body Dynamics in 2008. Chip enjoys helping clients reach health goals through his combined expertise in nutrition and fitness.

Join colleagues Lisa Clarkson and Kathryn Sparks Carpenter as they explore with the Falls Church community the far-reaching impact our Breath has on us. Hear an overview of how breath is used in clinical practice at Body Dynamics and try some simple techniques to practice at home.
Dr. Lisa Clarkson is a senior physical therapist at Body Dynamics and a leader on the performing arts medicine team who works with dancers of all ages and styles. Lisa completed her DPT at the University of Tennessee and became a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist in 2016. She had a 10-year career as a professional ballet dancer after completing her B.S. in Ballet at Indiana University. She is a certified STOTT Pilates Instructor Trainer and has been with Body Dynamics since 2014.
Kathryn Sparks Carpenter is a dancer by training and has spent the last 25 years exploring the connection between movement and spirituality. She has practiced clinical massage with the Body Dynamics team since 2013. As a graduate of Potomac Massage Training Institute, Kathryn has training in several types of massage including prenatal and reiki, and she loves weaving breath work and movement into her sessions.

While for some the pandemic feels like a lifetime ago, others might still be struggling with returning to “normal”. Sadness over being apart from family, disappointment in relationships were all common experiences - are these strains still causing you anxiety or stress? Join us for Identifying and Managing Your Emotions as we pause, reflect, and learn how to respond in real-time to emotional challenges that affect our health and our relationships.
As a therapist, Emily Lawyer collaborates with clients to empower them in their growth. Utilizing an integrative, trauma-informed approach that draws from Interpersonal Neurobiology, CBT, DBT, and Narrative therapy, she is passionate about journeying with people as they find healing in a compassionate, empathic environment. Her areas of clinical interest include anxiety, depression, grief and loss through life transitions, and working with those who find themselves in unhealthy relationship patterns.

Have you ever wondered if your shoes are the best fit for your feet? Don’t fit a square foot in a round shoe! Finding the best walking or running shoe can be difficult, but this program can help.
Dr. Jorge Villalobos completed his DPT through Evidence in Motion and received his MPT at East Carolina University. Jorge specializes in orthotriage, industrial medicine, and ergonomics education.
